General Terms and Conditions when ordering from The Green Beanery

Shipping Costs
Shipping costs for your location will be shown on the shopping cart when you check out.

Shipping Damage
Shipments to Canada, the US, and Western Europe are insured. Shipments to other countries are not insured, unless you select Purolator for shipping. If you require insurance on your shipment, please indicate in the comment box as you check out.

We insure your roaster shipment with Canada Post as indicated above. Please inspect your package for dents or other damage when it arrives. If you notice damage, please note it on the carrier's freight bill or receipt, and obtain a copy. Then call Canada Post immediately at 1 800 267-1177 to report the damage. Please keep all packaging, including boxes and shipping labels, to allow inspection by Canada Post. Please also notify us that your machine arrived damaged.

Our Return Policy
Unused roasters may be returned within 14 days of purchase (30 days in the case of roasters purchased between December 1 and December 25th as gifts). Once used a product will not be refunded. There is a 10% restocking fee for unused roasters. We will reimbuse 90% of the roaster's original puchase price and we do not reimburse our shipping costs. Simply call our office during the 14 or 30-day return period to explain the problem and to obtain an RMA authorization number (Return Authorization Number -- we do not automatically accept returns without authorization). Once you have the RMA, you may return the roaster to our office. Be sure to include:

1. All the parts and accessories as well as the roaster itself
2. The instruction booklets
3. All packaging in good condition.

Securely pack items and seal the package. Attach From/To Labels to the package and remove any other shipping labels. Please return via Canada Post and be sure to insure the shipment for its full value -- you are liable for the shipment. Retain a copy of the shipping receipt and tracking number; this is your proof of shipment if the machine is lost or damaged. You are responsible for the return shipping costs. We do not accept collect or postage-due shipments.

If the original packaging needs to be replaced, or if an unused machine has been returned without authorization, the restocking fee will be 15%.

If your returned roaster arrives in new and re-salable condition, in its original cartons and its original packing, with all accessories, guarantees and instructions, and if the return has been authorized, we will refund 90% of the full cost of the roaster, but not any shipping and handling costs.

For sales outside Canada and the USA, the customer pays for shipping both ways on all returns.

Warranties:

Except as noted below, all of our products have a full manufacturer’s warranty, whether sold in Canada or the United States. When we do not provide a warranty, as described below, warranty issue must be dealt with directly through the manufacturer with which the warranty is held. Allocation of shipping and handling charges lies with the discretion of the manufacturer with which the warranty is held. Shipping & handling is non-inclusive of warranty. (Warranty information listed below applies only to new machines.)

Bodum: 2 years parts and labor through Bodum on electric items only. Warranty questions can be directed to Bodum at 1-877-992-6386.

Bosch: 1 year parts and labor through Café West. 1-888-437-8340.

Caffe Rosto and Digirosto: 1 year parts and labor through Green Beanery. We are the sole North American Distributors and cover the warranty for all our customers.

Frieling: 1 year parts and labor through Green Beanery.

FreshRoast: 1 year parts and labor through Fresh Beans Inc.

Kedge: 1 year parts and labor through Green Beanery. We are a Exclusive Canadian Distributors and cover the warranty for all our customers.

Hearthware (including i-Roast): 1 year manufacturers parts and labor through Green Beanery. We are Authorized Canadian Distributors.

Mazzer: 1-year parts and labor through Espresso Services Inc.

Pasquini: 1-year parts and labor through Café West. 1-888-437-8340.

Rancilio: 1 year parts and labor through Green Beanery. We are an Authorized Rancilio Distributor and cover the warranty for all our customers.

Saeco: 1 year parts and labor through Café West. 1-888-437-8340.

Solis: 1 year parts and labor directly through Baratza- Solis. Warranty questions can be directed to Baratza at 1-877-701-2020.

Stelton: 1 year manufacturers parts and labor through Green Beanery.

Swissmar: 1 year manufacturers parts and labor through Green Beanery.

Zach & Dani’s: 6 months manufacturers parts and labor through Green Beanery. We are Authorized Canadian Distributors.

Warranty NOTES:

• A shipping and handling fee will be applied to all warranty replacement parts shipped from Green Beanery
• Warranties do not extend to accessories parts or normal ware parts such as gaskets, portafilter handles, portafilter baskets, pannarello wands, etc.
• Parts ordered online, by phone or email are final sales. If calling to order please have manual and part number ready.
• Please inspect all packages immediately upon receiving. All claims must be issued within five business days.
• Please note most of the machines we sell are tested at the manufacturer. Due to this testing you might find coffee residue, water spots, or possibly water on/in new machines. Most manufacturers will include a small sheet of paper stating this. We sell new machines only unless clearly stated and understood by the customer.
